The Philips Respironics BiPAP AVAPS noninvasive ventilator provides the comfort of pressure ventilation and the consistent efficacy of assured tidal volume. Adapting automatically to changing patient needs, BiPAP AVAPS incorporates System One advanced technologies that help simplify patient care.
PORTEA provides Rent and Sale equipment and support to BiPAP AVAPA-dependent patients. We can help you decide the best product and range of administration for your requirements.
The characteristic features of both the volume-controlled and pressure-controlled NIV modes are combined in the average volume-assured pressure support (AVAPS) mode. Volume is the dependent variable in the bilevel positive airway pressure (BiPAP) mode, whereas pressure is the dependent variable in the AVAPS mode.
Although AVAPS and BiPAP are equally effective in treating acute hypercapnic respiratory failure, AVAPS is linked to a quicker clinical recovery for the patient. Comparatively speaking, the patients have also felt more at ease and satisfied, which has enhanced treatment compliance.
AVAPS = average volume-assured pressure support, BPAP = bilevel positive airway pressure.
