As per the medical definition of psoriatic arthritis it is a disease associated with psoriasis causing joint inflammation. It is a pretty destructive and severe form of arthritis causing deformation and affects roughly 10% of people suffering from psoriasis.

Psoriatic arthritis is a chronic autoimmune disorder that causes inflammation of the joints and the skin. It is one of the forms of arthritis that mainly affects people with psoriasis. It can affect any part of the body from the finger tips to the spine. In this type of arthritis usually people first develop psoriasis and then have inflammation of the joints but, in some cases joint pain can appear before skin inflammation. Polyarticular

It is pretty debilitating and is much similar to rheumatoid arthritis and can affect more than five joints on both the sides of the body.

Spondyloarthritis

It’s characteristics are pretty similar to that of symmetric arthritis and mainly affects the neck but, can also affect the hands and feet.

Distal interphalangeal predominant

This type of arthritis mainly affects the fingers and toes causing inflammation and stiffness.
